Hi, I'm Page, and I can't be found at home. Or least, these days, I'm trying not to be at home as much as possible.
I took my first trip when I was six weeks old, and I haven't stopped traveling since. Back in those days, my parents could put me in a tiny bassinet and more or less shove me under the seat in front of them while they drank martinis and smoked cigarettes. (What can I say? It was the 60's. Things were different.)
It's been a while since I've traveled under an airplane seat, but since then, I've traveled by foot, car, train, plane, boats of all sizes, and countless forms of public transit. I've been to six continents (watch out, Antarctica, I'll be there soon), 49 of the 50 states (I'm coming for you, Alaska) and more than 50 countries. I spent many years working as a lawyer and traveling when I could -- which wasn't nearly as much as I would have liked. In 1998, I traveled to China and came home with a baby girl. (Yeah, this was planned. They weren't just handing out babies to random tourists.) She has been my best travel companion ever since. But before I became a parent and since she got an adult life of her own, I've done a lot of solo traveling.
Now I'm slowing down my legal practice and hope to do a lot more traveling before I get too decrepit. So come along with me. I'll show you where I'm going, where I've been, and how I travel. I'll probably overshare. Somewhere in the great beyond my mother is mortified. I'll try not to whine unnecessarily -- except about stairs (whining about stairs is part of my brand. So is falling down.). And I hope I'll make you laugh.
Also, the photo above of me sailing through the Suez Canal is approximately 40 years old, so your current results will differ. Significantly.
