Hotel Vesturland -- Very comfortable hotel with spa. Great base for a one-day trip to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula
Geysir
Litli Geysir Hotel -- Directly across from the geyser field on the Golden Circle. Nice place to spend the night if you're not doing the Golden Circle as a day trip from Reykjavik.
Hella
Guesthouse Vatnsholt -- Nice guesthouse way out in the countryside. Perfect location for trying to view the Northern Lights. Small but nice rooms.
Reykjavik
Sunna Guesthouse -- Nice enough place with shared toilet and shower. I booked this at the last minute when my camper van plans fell through. Convenient location. Clean rooms.
Hotel Local 101 -- I really liked this hotel. Spacious room. Very convenient location. Parking at night was difficult. Would definitely stay here again.
Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur -- Reykjavik's famous hot dog stand with several locations. Yummy! Be sure to get the crispy onions.
Brod & Co. -- Iconic bakery with locations all over Reykjavik. Super tasty cinnamon rolls.
Southeast Coast/Vik
Horgsland Guesthouse -- Clean accommodations about 45 minutes east of Vik. Nothing special but I was ind of desperate to find a place to stay in the area.
The Soup Company -- Delicious soup right next to The Lava Show in Vik. Get the lava soup.
